Who Are We?

Stone Arabia Preservation was established in 2020 to manage the Kilts Farm.  We are a membership and volunteer organization.

Kilts Farm and the Barshied Collection

Vision and Mission

The mission of Stone Arabia Preservation, Inc is to preserve and promote the skills, tools, and people of Stone Arabia through history and today.

The vision of the organization is to utilize the Kilts Farm facilities and the objects of the Barshied collection to address the mission. This includes:

  • Conducting courses and workshops related to Palatine agriculture and rural living

  • Holding lectures, presentations, and events related to the Barshied Collection, agriculture, and the history of Stone Arabia

  • Hosting events, tours, and programs to promote interest in and celebration of Stone Arabia and the local Mohawk Valley

We are committed to sharing history and celebrating life through wonder and teaching – just as Skip Barshied did for much of his life.
