Vision and Mission
The mission of Stone Arabia Preservation, Inc is to preserve and promote the skills, tools, and people of Stone Arabia through history and today.
The vision of the organization is to utilize the Kilts Farm facilities and the objects of the Barshied collection to address the mission. This includes:
Conducting courses and workshops related to Palatine agriculture and rural living
Holding lectures, presentations, and events related to the Barshied Collection, agriculture, and the history of Stone Arabia
Hosting events, tours, and programs to promote interest in and celebration of Stone Arabia and the local Mohawk Valley
We are committed to sharing history and celebrating life through wonder and teaching – just as Skip Barshied did for much of his life.
The Kilts Farm is a 30-acre farm located at 172 Kilts Rd in the Town of Palatine, NY. The farm is located on a dead-end dirt road and features sweeping views of the adjacent farmland.
