Yesterday my good friend Myra asked if I could give her another copy of my little story: “The great llama hunt.” I realized that a more recent chapter was due since Skip the llama had con to llama heaven. Not content with the passing of Skip to the end of the story the other skip bought another llama for Emanuel and his family. The new beast was spotted like an Appaloosa horse. He was named Rick after another of Emanuel’s friends. This time it was not like the friendship between the two Skips. In that relationship the Skips could touch noses with stupid looks on their faces. Which seemed quite natural to both. Why the human Skip could not seem to bond with Rick isn’t too clear. The first meeting between Skip and Rick was the same day that Rick had a not-too-gentlemanly operation. Could it be that llamas are smarter than one might think, and the association ruined a friendship? There are other ways that Skip the llama and Rich are not alike. Rick does not tent to business guarding the flock as Skip did. Rick goes AWOL into the neighbors’ corn field over quite a fence. If he wants to go the other way, he jumps the fence and stands in the middle of the road looking at cars who want to pass him. I have told Emanuel that he is a freeloader living in the barn and eating and drinking and doing nothing in return. Could it be I bought a deficient llama? I’ll let the reader know as the saga continues.
